Go to the Ant

01. Trust in the Lord

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Don't trust your own heart - your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
He will direct your paths, show you the way

Oh, don't be wise in your own eyes, fear God and turn away - turn away from evil
For fearing God, all other fears will disappear when you are trusting in the Lord

You say you're troubled 'cause you cannot see the road ahead
You're looking through a glass that darkly veils your sight
You feel alone and disappointed 'cause your life's not like you want it
Look to Jesus - He will take you through the night

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Don't trust your own heart - your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
He will direct your paths, show you the way

Don't forsake the godly teachings of your childhood
They will prolong your life and bring prosperity
Keep love and faithfulness within your heart, and never cause them to depart
For keeping His commands will set you free!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Don't trust your own heart - your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
He will direct your paths, show you the way
He will direct your paths, show you the way
He will direct your paths, show you the way

02. Go to the Ant

Are you responsible?
Do you ever do a job without being told to?
Or are you the lazy kind, and your mother and your father always have to scold you?
Well, God in His wisdom tells us where to go
To one of his smallest of teachers
If you want to be a responsible person, then learn how from one of His creatures
Go to the Ant!  Observe her - see how she works all day
And she doesn't even have a captain to tell her what to do, but she works hard anyway
Go to the Ant! and listen
Tell me, does she complain?
She is God's illustration of organization - Go to the Ant!
Are you the thoughtful kind?
Do you ever ask what you can do to help your mother?
Or do you complain and whine
And you lie around and hope that she will ask your brother?
Well, there was a poor irresponsible sluggard, who slept when there was work to be done
But too late he realized his foolish behavior
And poverty hit him like a man with gun!
Go to the Ant!  Oh sluggard - see how she works all day
And she doesn't even have a captain to tell her what to do, but she works hard anyway
Go to the Ant! and listen
Tell me, does she complain?
God made her, now you imitate her - Go to the Ant!

03. The Tongue

He said that you said that I said that he was a liar
But what he said that you said that I said, it just isn't so!
Can't you see - that the tongue can destroy like a fire
When we whisper and spread around gossip wherever we go?

Oh, the tongue - it can cut like a knife!
Oh, the tongue can ruin an innocent life
Stop!  Think about, think about the way that you say the things that you say
Oh, the tongue can encourage a friend
Or the tongue can cause a friendship to end
What will you say today?
What will you say today? - with your tongue

A forest can burn to the ground when a fire is started
It begins with a very small spark, then grows to a flame
Oh, the tongue be just like a fire, unguarded
It has power to bring about or cause trouble and pain

Oh, the tongue - it can cut like a knife!
Oh, the tongue can ruin an innocent life
Stop!  Think about, think about the way that you say the things that you say
Oh, the tongue can encourage a friend
Or the tongue can cause a friendship to end
What will you say today?
What will you say today? - with your tongue

04. Talk to Me

My mother always talks with me
I love to hear her voice;
She tells me wonderful things of God that make my heart rejoice!
It doesn't matter if we're home or riding in the car, or on a sunny day when we go for a walk
It may be early in the morning or before I go to bed
She always takes the time to talk to me
Talk to me…show me that you care!
Talk to me…listen to what I say!
Talk to me…there's so much we can share!
I know you love me when you talk to me
My father comes home from work at night and even though he is very tired
He reads the Bible and we talk it out, and he closes the day with prayer
It doesn't matter if we're home or riding in the car, or on a sunny day when we go for a walk
It may be early in the morning or before I go to bed
He always takes the time to talk to me
Talk to me…show me that you care!
Talk to me…listen to what I say!
Talk to me…there's so much we can share!
I know you love me when you talk to me
Talk to me…show me that you care!
Talk to me…listen to what I say!
Talk to me…there's so much we can share!
I know you love me when you talk to me
I know you love me when you talk to me

05. I will Sing unto the Lord

I will sing unto the Lord!
I will sing unto the Lord!
For He has done great things
And this why I sing
Oh I will raise my voice and praise Him evermore!
I will sing unto the Lord!
I will sing unto the Lord!
And glory in His name, and praise the One who came
To break away the chains of sin forevermore!
We will sing unto the Lord!
We will sing unto the Lord!
Oh blessed is the man who delights in His commands!
For mighty will his children be forevermore!
For mighty will his children be forevermore!

06. Seven Awful Things

There are six things - even seven, that the Lord hates - things He cannot stand!
Proud looking eyes
A lying tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that thinks of wicked things to do
And feet that run to evil, too
Anyone who loves to lie about others
And the one who causes trouble with his brothers

God is love - we know that's true
But God hates things that we should hate too
Like proud looking eyes
A lying tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that thinks of wicked things to do
And feet that run to evil, too
Anyone who loves to lie about others
And the one who causes trouble with his brothers

There are six things - even seven, that the Lord hates - things He cannot stand!
Proud looking eyes
A lying tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that thinks of wicked things to do
And feet that run to evil, too
Anyone who loves to lie about others
And the one who causes trouble with his brothers

07. Out of the Mouths of Children

Out of the mouths of children and tiny nursing babes
From the lips of the little ones, God has ordained His praise!
He has ordained His praise because of His enemies
Lord, give our children a heart to know You
Let their song silence the foe!
Oh, Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!
When I consider your heavens…the work of Your hands, what is man that you care for him?
You made man a little lower than the angels
Put all things under his feet
Made him ruler over all of Your creation
His children Your foes to defeat
Out of the mouths of children and tiny nursing babes
From the lips of the little ones, God has ordained His praise!
He has ordained His praise because of His enemies
Lord, give our children a heart to know You
Let their song silence the foe!
When children came to Jesus, shouting "Hosanna!" and bringing their praise…Hosanna!
The priests indignantly tried to send them away, but Jesus said, "Have you not read?"
Out of the mouths of children and tiny nursing babes
From the lips of the little ones, God has ordained His praise!
He has ordained His praise because of His enemies
Lord, give our children a heart to know You
Let their song silence the foe!
Lord, give our children a heart to know You
Let their song silence the foe!
"Hosanna, Hosanna, our praises we bring to Jesus, our Prophet, our priest and our King!"

08. Isabelle is a Pig

Isabelle is a pig with a ring in her snout
You can dress Izzy up but you can't take her out
She will jump in the middle of a big mud puddle 'cause Isabelle is a pig!
Now a pretty little girl when her temper shows, looks like a pig with a ring her nose
All the cute little ribbons and ruffles and rings look silly when you do them foolish things!
You can dress up a pig but you can't take her out
With a bright gold ring in her pink pig snout
She will jump in the middle of a big mud puddle 'cause a pig is a pig is a pig.
Now, pretty little girls when they cry and pout, look like Izzy with a ring in her snout
All the buttons and bows and curls and lace, don't look pretty with a grumpy face!
You can dress up a pig but you can't take her out
With a bright gold ring in her pink pig snout
She will jump in the middle of a big mud puddle 'cause a pig is a pig is a pig.
So be a little girl who loves to obey
Listen to your parents everyday
Don't be like a pig who wallows in the mud
What she wears can make what she does look good!
Isabelle is a pig with a ring in her snout
You can dress Izzy up but you can't take her out
She will jump in the middle of a big mud puddle 'cause Isabelle is a pig!

09. The School of the Fool

There was a young man
I don't remember his name
All I remember is he thought that life was a game
He only followed his own opinions
He loved to break every rule
He was a first class, A+ student
In the school of a fool!

He was his best friend, he was his worst enemy
And there was nothin' that he took seriously
He mocked his teachers, he laughed at learnin'
He thought that lyin' was cool!
He was a first class, A+ student, in the school of a fool!
He was a fool - he was not wise - he played the fool - he paid the price

He had a temper and he would let it explode
If he was angry, you can be sure that it showed
Whenever anyone tried to help him,
He always treated them cruelly
He was a first class, A+ student, in the school of a fool!
He was a fool - he was not wise - he played the fool - he paid the price

So pay attention, and learn a lesson, my friend!
This foolish young man came to a terrible end
You see it's wise guys who are rewarded, so just remember this rule:
Don't be a first class, A+ student, in the school of a fool!
He was a fool  - he was not wise - he played the fool - he payed the price
Don't be a fool - be wise! Be wise!
You play the fool - you'll pay the price
Don't be a fool - be wise! Be wise!
You play the fool - you'll pay the price…

10. Listen My Son

Listen, my son to the words that I say
Keep all I tell you within your heart
If you will search after wisdom as gold, many hidden treasures will unfold
My father taught me when I was just a boy, saying, "Follow the wise way, and you will have great joy!"
Now I am telling those same words to you, following the Word of God so true.

Daddy, I know you love me
Thank you for taking the time
To lead my feet in the right way
So maybe someday to my little boy I will say…

Listen, my son to the words that I say
Keep all I tell you within your heart
If you will search after wisdom as gold, many hidden treasures will unfold.
