Pilgrim's Praise

01. I Will Sing Unto the Lord

I will sing unto the Lord.
I will lift my voice to Him, to the Mighty Rock of my salvation.
I will sing unto the Lord.
I will lift my voice to Him, for He is God, my King, my Savior
The Lord is the God of my salvation.
By His will, I'm His enemy no more.
I deserve His holy condemnation for ever.

I will sing unto the Lord…I will sing…
I will lift my voice to Him, to the Mighty Rock of my salvation.
…I will sing…I will sing unto the Lord.
I will lift my voice to Him, for He is God, my King, my Savior.
The Lord is the King of all Creation.
Not one thing escapes His watchful eye.
He ordains all things for our good and His glory.

I will sing unto the Lord,
…I will sing…
I will lift my voice to Him, to the Mighty Rock of my salvation.…I will sing…I will sing unto the Lord…I will sing…
I will lift my voice to Him, for He is God…He is God, my King, my Savior.
Jesus is the Savior of His people.
He's the Rock where my sinful soul can hide.
May His Law and mercy rule my heart, now and forever.

For ever

I will sing unto the Lord.
I will lift my voice to him,
to the Mighty Rock of my salvation.
I will sing unto the Lord.
I will lift my voice to Him,
for He is God, my King, my Savior…my Savior…
For he is God, my King, my Savior…my Savior…
Oh, for He is God, my King my Savior…my Savior…

02. Psalm 71

You have been my hope, oh Sovereign Lord, all my confidence since I was young.
From birth I have relied on You Who brought me from my mother's womb.
I will ever praise You with my song.

All day long, Your mighty acts I will proclaim!
All day long, declare the splendor of Your name!
Lord, do not forsake me when I am old and gray
Till I declare Your power to the next generation in their day.
To the next generation in their day.

You have been my hope, oh Sovereign Lord, though You have made me see distress and pain.
From the depths You lift me up, set me on the solid Rock.
I know You'll restore my life again.

All day long, Your mighty acts I will proclaim!
All day long, declare the splendor of Your name!
Lord, do not forsake me when I am old and gray
Till I declare Your power to the next generation in their day.
To the next generation in their day.

You have been my hope, oh Sovereign Lord, all my confidence since I was young.
You destroy my enemies, your salvation sets me free.
I will ever praise You with my song.

All day long.
All day long.
All day long.

03. Song of Moses and the Lamb

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are all your ways, Lord God Almighty!

Oh, King of the saints, who shall not fear and honor your name?
For you alone are holy, Lord God Almighty!

Great and marvelous are all Your works, Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are all your ways, Lord God Almighty!

Oh, King of the saints, all nations shall give you praise
For you alone are holy, Lord God Almighty!

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are all your ways, Lord God Almighty!

Oh, King of the saints, Your judgments have been revealed
And you alone are holy, Lord God Almighty!

King of the saints, who shall not fear and honor your name?

04. Psalm 139

For You created my inmost being.
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
And I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made
In my mother's womb.

I was never hid from You, long before my eyes could see.
You saw my unformed body, You ordained my days for me, before I ever came to be!
How precious to me are all Your thoughts, oh God.
I fall asleep, seeking to number them, for they are more than all the grains of sand.
When I awake, I am still within Your hand!

For You created my inmost being.
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
And I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made
In my mother's womb.
In my mother's womb.

05. Ruler of the Nations

Ruler of the nations, You alone are God, oh Lord
Weak and worthless is our praise
Give us grace to praise You more
Ruler of the nations, how Your holiness burns so bright
If You counted all our sin, who could stand before Your sight?

Only in Jesus, only in Jesus, only in Jesus we stand!

Ruler of the nations, Your dear Son our hearts adore
Jesus bore Your righteous wrath, so we would bear Your wrath no more

Only in Jesus, only in Jesus, only in Jesus we stand!

Only in Jesus, only in Jesus, only in Jesus we stand!
Only in Jesus, only in Jesus, only in Jesus we stand!

Ruler of the nations, be the ruler of my heart
Jesus, Prophet, Priest, and King, be my Lord, my all in all!
Jesus, Prophet, Priest, and King, be my Lord, my all in all!

Only in Jesus, only in Jesus, only in Jesus we stand!
Only in Jesus, only in Jesus, only in Jesus we stand!

We stand…We stand…We stand…We stand…We stand…We stand…

06. Lamb of God

With one accord we will sing, praise to the Lamb who was slain and who has risen, risen from the dead!
He who was once in the grave, now lives forever to save all of His children
None of them shall fall
Great is the love of our Jesus, the Lamb of God!
He thought it nothing at all to lay His glory aside, and be made like us
A man among men
He was a stranger to sin, but was looked on as sin, so that us sinners would be the righteousness of God
Great is the love of our Jesus, the Lamb of God

Great is the love of our Jesus, the Lamb of God

Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto Him who sits on the throne
Unto the mighty Lamb of God be glory forever!

Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto Him who sits on the throne
Unto the mighty Lamb of God be glory forever!
…Be glory forever!!!

With one accord we will sing, praise to the Lamb who was slain and who has risen, risen from the dead!
Father, we pray in the name of the pure Lamb who was slain, make our ways pleasing, pleasing to You
For great is the love of our Jesus, the Lamb of God!
Great is the the love of Jesus, the Lamb of God!!!

Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto Him who sits on the throne
Unto the mighty Lamb of God be glory forever!

Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto Him who sits on the throne
Unto the mighty Lamb of God be glory forever!

Oh, Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto Him who sits on the throne
Unto the mighty Lamb of God be glory forever!

…Be glory forever!!!

07. Pilgrim's ProgressThe road is long and hard, Lord
But I know I will find…
The light at the horizon, for You will be my guide.
So many dangers lie ahead,
But You will see me through.
The Book which You have given me tells me this is true.

The road is long and hard, Lord,
My burden weighs me down,
But soon I'll find my burden lies buried in the ground.
An empty cross, and empty tomb
Hide my sin from view.
The Book which You have given me tells me this is true!

The road is long and hard, Lord,
The river deep and wide.
A City shines upon a hill
Just the other side.
The progress of a pilgrim, Lord,
Is traced all back to You.
The Book which You have given me tells me this is true.
The Book which You have given me tells me this is true.

08. Help (The Slough of Despond)

Falling, falling, sinking down, doubting in despond.
Is their hope will I live, is their life beyond?
Dark the night, hard the fight, shadows closing in.
I am sinking underneath this burden of my sin!

Then a light split the night, I heard someone say,
"I have come to lift you up, help you find your way!"
Then he drew me from the mire, helped me learn to stand.
Glad I am that Help was near, reaching out his hand.

Then he drew me from the mire, helped me learn to stand.
Glad I am that Help was near, reaching out his hand.

09. The Cross

Jesus, You hung on the cross to take my burden from me.
It rolled into the open tomb, and I'm forever free!
Jesus, what You bore, was wrath that was meant for me.
Oh, how can I describe such love as You, Lord, have for me?

Jesus, You hung on the cross to give me raiment so new.
You took the rags I wore with shame, oh Savior faithful and true.
You now call me Your own, and I gladly call You "Lord."
And if there be any good in me, it's only because of You.

Jesus, You hung on the cross to put this scroll in my hand.
You placed your mark upon my head, and now before You I stand.
Savior, take my life, and make me what You will.
May Your praise be ever on my tongue till my heart lies cold and still.
May Your praise be ever on my tongue till my heart lies cold and still.

10. Vanity Fair

Passing through Vanity Fair, many temptations surround you
Just when you think you've seen it all, something amazing astounds you!
Passing through Vanity Fair, only the King will sustain you
Never give in to their faltering fantasies, all there is empty and vain
When they say; "Sample my wares!", they only wish to ensnare you
Don't be a fool…beware!
Their chief desire is to tear your soul into pieces!
Passing through Vanity Fair, trust in the King to sustain you!

Never give in to their faltering fantasies, all there is empty and vain

Never give in to their faltering fantasies, all there is empty and vain.

11. Faithful

As I traveled on my journey, few and far between, were the pilgrims I found faithful to their loving King.
Soon I overtook a young man walking in the way, and I could see within his eyes that he was there to stay.

He was faithful as a brother, he was faithful as a friend,
Looking for a lasting City, faithful to the end.

Even when the road grew rugged, and the sky turned black, trusting in his King he had no thought of turning back.
In the midst of persecution with his dying breath, magnified the One Who kept him faithful unto death.

He was faithful as a brother, he was faithful as a friend,
Looking for a lasting City, faithful to the end.
Looking for a lasting City, faithful to the end.

12. The Fight (Apollyon)

The lines are drawn, the fight is on,
And it won't end till one of them is down.
Christian stands, his shield in hand,
And he wonders if this war is worth the crown.
The giant he sees commands him to flee,
Oh, but there's just ain't no way that he'll turn back.
So Christian, fight with all your might.
And remember, oh, remember,
You can't lose if you use your sword.
Christian, don't forget your sword.
Christian, don't forget your sword.
You can't lose, if you use your sword.

Look around
…look around…
Look around…look around…
Your enemy is gone.
Look around…look around…
Oh, look around…look around…
Your enemy is gone.
He is gone.
He is gone.
He is gone, gone, gone away.

13. Sovereign Grace

Looking back at all the many battles You have brought me through, I know that it was only by Your grace.
I could not have come this far, nor ever seen the Morning Star, but in Your mercy, I beheld Your face.

Oh, sovereign grace!
Nothing I could merit, nothing I deserve…sovereign grace.
Only by Your Spirit will I ever serve my Lord forever!

Falling in my weakness, Lord, You will come and lift me up, and make my spirit soar on eagles wings!
Many wonders You have done, You have made salvation known, and in return Your praises I will sing.

Oh, sovereign grace!
Nothing I can merit, nothing I deserve…sovereign grace.
Only by Your Spirit will I ever serve my Lord forever!

All the mountains You have formed, You alone can calm the storm, and all of life continues by Your plan.
Blessed is the man You choose, called to follow after You, for You alone can change the heart of man.

Oh, sovereign grace!
Nothing I can merit, nothing I deserve…sovereign grace.
Only by Your Spirit will I ever serve my Lord forever!
Forever!
Forever!
